Excerpt from Modern Greek in Asia Minor: A Study of the Dialects of Sílli, Cappadocia and Phárasa With Grammar, Texts, Translations and Glossary

A paper of some fifty pages on the dialects of Silli and Cappadocia, which was published in the J oumal of Hellenic Studies for 19101, was the precursor of this book. The primary object of both paper and book is to describe the language of some of the Greek-speaking Christians of Asia Minor; but this is now done on a much larger scale than was then possible, and the scope has been widened by the addition of the dialect of Pharasa.
