About the author (2010)

Professor Sheldon received his Ph.D. in social-personality psychology from the University of California at Davis. He is now a professor at the University of Missouri who studies goals, motivation, and well-being. He is very active in the ldquo;positive psychologyrdquo; movement, and interested in the question of what produces ldquo;optimal human being.rdquo;
